Kirkland's Italian Sausage and Beef Lasagna

Lasagna is so much fun to eat but it can be labor intensive to make. Thank you Kirkland for your Italian Sausage and Beef Lasagna! Not only is it delicious, it is very reasonably priced. You get two 3 lb pans of lasagna for $12.99 at Costco. The lasagna has all the ingredients you would expect in the classic Italian dish: fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, lasagna noodles, zesty Italian pork sausage, beef, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, Romano cheese, onions and garlic.

The Italian pork sausage adds a true Italian flavor to this dish. The combination of cheeses, vine ripened tomatoes, and Italian seasonings makes for a very flavorful lasagna. I have always been wary of frozen lasagna because they all seem to come out of the oven like an island of cheese floating in an ocean of grease, but that is not the case with this lasagna! Each pan of lasagna serves 6 generous, 1 cup portions. If you prefer smaller portions, you can get 8 servings.

This lasagna is a must have for your freezer. The package I bought had a freezer life of about 9 months. It goes straight to the oven from the freezer. Heating time is a total of 65 minutes in the oven or 24 minutes in the microwave. Just add a salad and some garlic bread for a compete meal. Costco carries Taylor Farms Caesar Salad kit for $4.29 so if you purchase that too, you can feed 6 people for under $18.00!
